2012 MGOCSM of North Jersey/Rockland & Staten Island/Central Jersey Lenten Retreat

The MGOCSM of North Jersey/Rockland & Staten Island/Central Jersey would like to invite you all to our Lenten Retreat on March 10th, 2012 at St. Mary's Orthodox Church 45 E Elm St Linden, New Jersey. This year's speakers will be John Malek & Shinto David. The topic will be 'Walk With Christ: “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. - Joel 2:12-13'. Information on Speakers

John Malek is a Youth Servant from the Coptic Orthodox Church. He hosts weekly bible studies in Belville NJ. He is also a co-founder of OSN. John is not new to the Indian community at all, he has spoken at numerous events and worked with us on many previous retreats. He has always been a big supporter of our efforts to join the youth of the Oriental Orthodox churches. He is a very charismatic speaker with a lot of experience and is great at connecting with our youth.

Shinto David is from the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. He is from Detroit, Michigan and is currently a second year seminarian at St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania.
