His Beatitude Metropolitan Constantine passes away

His Beatitude, Metropolitan Constantine, ruling Hierarch of the Central Eparchy and Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States of America, passed away on the morning of Monday, May 21, 2012 at the age of 76.

Although His Beatitude fell ill a few weeks ago and was hospitalized, the Lord gave him the strength to celebrate his 40th anniversary of arch pastoral ministry in a grand fashion, just one day before his passing.

His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Metropolitan has sent a condolence letter to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the United States, expressing the prayer and solidarity of the clergy, and faithful of the Northeast American Diocese.

May the memory of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Constantine be eternal.
