Orthodox Convention and Catholicate Centenary Celebrations to be held in Brooklyn, Queens & Long Island NY Area on August 24, 2012 to August 26, 2012

The MOSC parishes in the Brooklyn, Queens & Long Island NY areas will be hosting an Orthodox Convention & Catholic Centenary Celebrations commemorating the re-establishment of the Catholicate in India on August 24, 2012 to August 26, 2012 in Floral Parks's Our Lady of the Snow's Roman Catholic Church.

His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Metropolitan of the Northeast American diocese, will be presiding and opening the ceremony. Rev. Fr. Dr. O. Thomas, professor at the Kottayam Orthodox Theological Seminary and director of the Sunday School Association, will be the main speaker. Every night between 6 and 6:30 PM, there will be evening prayer as well as prayers for the sick and prayers for those going through difficulties in their daily lives. Mr. Joseph Pappan will be leading the Council of Church's Choir.
