GROW's One Day Young Women's Conference on April 27, 2013

G.R.O.W. Ministries is having a one day young women's conference on April 27, 2013 at Sts. Baselios & Gregorios Orthodox Church - 9 Mercer Ave North Plainfield, NJ 07060 from 8:30-4:30pm. The theme of the conference is Empowered Through Christ, "She clothes herself with strength and dignity and rejoices in the last days" - Proverbs 31:25.

The speaker of the conference is Presvytera Kyriaki Karidoyanes FitzGerald, M.Div., Ph.D. Dr. FitzGerald serves as a theologian, educator, author, licensed psychologist and certified pastoral counselor in Massachusetts. She is a professor at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and has produced several books including the critically acclaimed, “Women Deacons in the Orthodox Church: Called to Holiness and Ministry,” and edited the ground-breaking “Encountering Women of Faith” book series. Dr. FitzGerald is the Founder of St. Catherine’s Vision, which is a working group of persons committed to studying and supporting the many ways women and men are called to serve within the life of the Orthodox Church, today. She and her husband, Fr. Thomas, have been serving the Church for many years.

Workshops will also be conducted and will be led by clergy, lay leaders and certified professionals. The conference is open to all young women ages 13 and up (high school, college, post college, single, married and young mothers).
