Rev. Fr. George C. Mathew, Jr. appointed Vicar

Rev. Fr. George C. Mathew, Jr., has been appointed Vicar of St. Mary's Orthodox Church of Northern Virginia, effective May 1, 2010.

With the blessing the Diocesan Metropolitan, St. Mary's Church began as a small congregation in April of 2005, and was later elevated to the status of parish. This parish is the only Indian Orthodox Church community in the state of Virginia.

Fr. George has served as the OVBS Director of the then known American Diocese and is a graduate of St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary, South Canaan, PA.
