Memo from Diocesan Metropolitan

Blessings to the Very Reverend Chor Episcopoi, Reverend Priests, Reverend Deacons, and faithful of the Northeast American Diocese.

Dearly beloved,

His Grace Bishop David of the Coptic Orthodox Archdiocese of North America has invited us, along with all the clergy and faithful of our Diocese, to participate in a prayer service at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan.

Our brothers and sisters of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt are enduring through persecution by the hands of their fellow man. We, as their sister Church must stand with them and show our solidarity at this prayer service.

We encourage all our clergy and faithful to be present at this service, which will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 6:30PM at St. Patrick's Cathedral located at 460 Madison Avenue, New York, NY.

As many other Church leaders, politicians, and media personnel will be present, please try our best to be on time and be somber in our conduct.

Let us show our support and love to our sister Orthodox Church.

Yours in our Lord,
Zachariah Nicholovos Metropolitan
