Catholicos Didymus I to receive Anointing of the Sick

His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Didymus I, retired Catholicos of the East, will receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, on Friday, February 21st, at 2PM, in the main Chapel of the Catholicate Palace, in Devalokam, Kerala, India.

The Service of 'Kantheela' will be led by His Holiness Catholicos Paulos II, and will be assisted by all the Metropolitans of the Church, who are allpresent in Kerala for the Holy Synod.

Let us continue to pray for our beloved Vailya Bava Thirumeni, that The Lord, in His mercy, will bestow comfort and strength to His Holiness.

*Please note, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, is not seen as a form of "Last Rites". Rather, the Sacrament is offered and made available to any Orthodox Christian, to receive additional strength, and grace from the Heavenly Physician of our souls, Jesus Christ. This Sacrament may be received by any faithful, at any time, as per the loving direction of their spiritual father.*
