MGOCSM 'Martura' Summer Camp August 2015

It is with great joy that the MGOCSM areas of Brooklyn/Queens/Long Island & Bx/Westchester/Northern NY/Boston/CT present our first annual combined summer camp Martura.

The camp name comes from the Greek word for ‘witness.’ It is our hope that this camp may provide a way to foster true witness of the gospel among the youth of our parishes.

We are blessed to have Rev. Fr. Aju Philip Mathews as the main speaker, presenting this year's theme, “called to witness."

The camp name and theme are taken from Acts 26:16 -“But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you."(NKJV).

Martura 2015 will be held Friday, August 7 from 10 am -5 pm, and Saturday, August 8 from 9 am - 3:30 pm at St. George Orthodox Church, Port Chester, NY.

Please encourage your youth to attend and participate in this MGOCSM summer camp. We pray that this will be a opportunity for youth from across New York and neighboring areas to spiritually grow and have fellowship with each other.
