Falling Asleep of Very Reverend Dr. K. C. Mathews Chor Episcopos
With faith in Christ and in the hope of resurrection, we inform you of
the passing away of Very Reverend Dr. K. C. Mathews Chor Episcopos.
Achen was the youngest brother of His Grace Dr. Thomas Mar Makarios,
Metropolitan of Blessed Memory, and of Very Reverend Lazarus Remban
Chor Episcopos, Vicar of Saint John Orthodox Church of Hamilton,
Canada.
Very Reverend Dr. K. C. Mathews Chor Episcopos served as a priest of
the then known American Diocese, and was instrumental in the
building up of our parishes in the northeast United States.
Achen passed away this morning at Parumala Hospital. He will be
remembered for his dedicated pastoral services rendered to the
Malankara Church in North America.
The burial of Very Reverend Dr. K. C. Mathews Chor Episcopos will be
held on Monday, November 14th at 2PM at Saint Mary's Cheriyapally,
Ayroor, Kerala India. His Holiness Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulos
II, Catholicos of the East will officiate the Rite of Burial.
