New Diocesan Center Consecrated

On Saturday, July 24, 2010, following a successful Diocesan Assembly, the newly constructed Diocesan Center of the Northeast American Diocese was consecrated by His Grace Mathews Mar Barnabas, Diocesan Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Assistant Metropolitan.  The Hierarchs were assisted by the Very Reverend and Reverend priests, and deacons who were present for the occasion.

The Diocesan Metropolitan offered thanksgiving to God that the dream of having a proper and adequate center for our Diocese has been achieved.  His Grace also thanked all the Vicars and parishes of the Diocese for their prayerful financial support and also a heartfelt gratitude to the Diocesan Center Building Committee convener and committee members for their hard work in making this dream possible.

His Grace Mathews Mar Barnabas, requested the all Vicars and Diocesan Assembly Delegates to continue to encourage the faithful of our parishes who have not contributed to this project to do so.

An open house and inauguration celebrations of the new Diocesan Center in Muttontown, New York has been scheduled for Saturday, September 4, 2010.  Further information of programs of that day will be announced by the Diocesan Office soon.
