Malankara Church is selected as 2018 #GivingTuesday Partner
St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary has decided to partner
with the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in their annual
#GivingTuesday campaign.
SVOTS will tithe 10% of the funds raised on November 27 to the
Malankara Church's Kerala Flood Relief project. His Holiness Moran
Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulos II, Catholicos of the East & Malankara
Metropolitan, shared of his gratitude to the initiative of the
seminary: “It is a matter of greater consolation to know that our
sister Churches are concerned with the situations we face.”
Our Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, a member of the
Board of Trustees at St. Vladimir’s Seminary, conveyed to his
appreciation to Very Reverend Father Dr. Chad Hatfield, President of
the Seminary: “Your sincere act has shown theology of the Church,
which is rooted in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, in action.”
SVS is a theological institution of the Orthodox Church in America.
Currently, there are four students from the Malankara Orthodox Church
enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at St. Vladimir’s Seminary.
