Thrikunnathu Seminary Chapel Broken Into
The Thrikunnathu Seminary Chapel, which has been unfortunately locked by civil authorities, was broken into by a group led by Baselios Thomas I, early Saturday morning.
Baselios Thomas I, along with 8 Metropolitans, clergy and 50 men broke the lock, and ripped open the bottom frame of the door of the chapel at 3AM, to "celebrate" Divine Liturgy.
Hearing all the noise in the middle of the night, Rev. Fr. Yakob Thomas, Manager of the Thrikunnathu Seminary, and Diocesan Staff who reside at there, were attacked and beaten. Rev. Fr. Yakob Thomas, Seminarians Rijo Mathew, and Stallin Alex, have been hospitalized due to the injuries violently inflicted upon them.
His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Metropolitan of the Northeast American Diocese, condemned these illegal actions and sought the prayers of all people who love peace and justice.
