Hair Donated by MMVS members of Rockland and upstate NY
The
MMVS members of Rockland and upstate NY region took up hair donation as the
second part of their charitable activity of the year.
St.Mary’s Church, Suffern, NY hosted the
event. The MMVS members embraced the project enthusiastically and some of them
even had postponed trimming their hair so that they could donate! It was
heartwarming to realize that these hair pieces may transform and empower some
of the young recipients! The donated hair will be used to make hair pieces for
children who have lost hair due to various maladies. The women who participated
in the event felt truly blessed.
Two
organizations were chosen.
1) Children with Hair Loss (CWHL)
2) Wish Granted.
The hair pieces that were more than 8 inches in length were donated to CWHL.
There were 23 of them. The hair pieces that were less than 8 inches in length
were donated to “Wish Granted”. There
were 15 pieces in this group.
