The Northeast American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church conducted its annual Clergy Conference on October 15 and October 16, 2025 under the leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Zachariah Mar Nicholoos. The conference commenced with Vespers and Compline. Special Intercessory Prayers were offered for the faithful departed clergy of the Northeast American Diocese in particular. Fr. Dr. Raju Varghese, Vicar of the Host Parish St. Mary’s Orthodox Church of Suffern, New York welcomed all the clergy and their families to the parish. Clergy and Clergy families were able to enjoy fellowship and dinner with one another after prayers.
The Second day began with morning prayer and a devotional offered by Fr. Babu K. Mathew, Vicar of St. Stephen Orthodox Church of Midland Park. Breakfast and more fellowship continued. The main speaker, Advocate Thomas Paul Rambachen, offered a much needed presentation on Priestly and Christian Self Care so that they can offer themselves fully to their community when called upon. Afterwards Metropolitan Zachariah Mar Nicholovos offered pastoral comments to the clergy. A Business Session and Open Forum were conducted for clergy and the Baskiyomos. Fr. Gheevarghese John, Vicar of St. Luke the Evangelist Orthodox Church of Philadelphia offered a heartfelt thanks to Advocate Thomas Paul Rambachen for his session. The conference concluded with Noon Prayer, group photos and lunch.
