
Metropolitan Zachariah Mar Nicholovos has sent a heartfelt fraternal letter to His Grace Bishop Mesrop, Primate of theEastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America expressing profound prayers, solidarity, and concern for the people of Armenia amid ongoing political unrest in the country.
In the letter, Metropolitan Nicholovos conveyed his deep sorrow upon learning of the recent turmoil affecting the Armenian homeland. Recognizing the historic struggles of the Armenian people and their unwavering faith, His Eminence assured Bishop Mesrop of his continued prayers for peace, justice, and stability.
"The Armenian Church has stood for centuries as a pillar of spiritual resilience and national identity. In the face of persecution, genocide, and political upheaval, your Church has remained faithful to Christ and steadfast in serving the Armenian people," wrote our Diocesan Metropolitan.
Metropolitan Nicholovos also offered support from the faithful of the Malankara Orthodox community in northeast United States, noting that the Armenian Church’s witness remains a beacon of hope and faithfulness across the Oriental Orthodox family.
The clergy and faithful Northeast American Diocese joins all people of good will in calling for peace, dialogue, and the upholding of human dignity during these challenging times in Armenia.
