It is with a heavy heart that we learn of tragic and senseless act of violence that occurred in the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The loss of innocent lives and the suffering caused by such acts shatters the hearts of not only the families and communities directly affected, but all people of conscience and faith.
We extend our heartfelt prayers to the victims, their families, the first responders, and the entire Minneapolis community. May God, the source of all comfort and justice, bring healing to the wounded, rest to those who have died, and peace to the hearts of all who mourn.
May the light of Christ shine in this darkness, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds.
