Saint Mary’s Malankara Orthodox Church, White Plains, New York is a parish under the jurisdiction of the Northeast American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. For over a decade this parish has been worshiping at 99 Park Avenue, White Plains, New York.
This building, known as the Malankara Jacobite Center is not owned by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, nor is owned by the Syriac Orthodox Church. Rather, it is under a private incorporation which has been leasing the building to Rev. Fr. Paulose T. Peter, the Vicar of St. Mary's Orthodox Syrian Church and our parish has been using the building through that lease.
In October 2022, the organization informed Rev. Fr. Paulose T. Peter that the lease will not be renewed. Our parish continues to be an integral part of the Northeast American Diocese and has already started worshiping in an alternate facility from October 9, 2022, onwards.
